to build a technology center that will enhance the education
opportunities available at its Second Street Learning Center.

Touchstones
Opportunity House/Second Street Learning Center Technology Center will
do the following:

Create a school that will
provide the optimal classroom environment for learning for children
of all ages.

Foster collaboration with
public institutions and private industry to improve the quality of
life in Greater Reading.

Further stabilize the
Second Street corridor and the redevelopment of Greater Reading.

We are changing the way
our children learn and also changing neighborhoods in which they
live and play.

Provide a computer for
EVERY child that will better equip them with the skills and
knowledge to pursue a successful future.

By implementing “smart
growth” principles, we are constructing a facility that will
conserve natural resources, use a minimum of non-renewable resources
and be economical to maintain and operate.

Develop a “social
venture” that would be consistent with our mission and also generate
the required revenue to offset annual operating deficits.
